Obsessed is the Prompt of the Day

The singly driven people of the Daily Post would like our art to be based on the word “Obsessed” for today.

What has Me Obsessed?

Memories of the mountains in Colorado, where we used to live.  That and the two cats we had adopted from a humane society while in the Chicago-metro area.  Took both animals along with us for our adventures in CO.  Miss those two so much it hurts!  Their spirits have followed us through many different states of this country.

My husband says he still sees both of the animals.  I only see the one I picked out to be adopted.  That one comes around whenever I am feeling sick or really sad.  Wish I could convince him to beat up the cat we adopted after he passed away, since it likes to bite and claw me!

If you have any suggestions on how to keep the cat from using me as his personal chew toy, All you need to do is fill out the form below:

All suggestions will be read by me personally.  Thank you for your helpful advice!

Have you ever felt possessed and did something you shouldn’t have done?

Please Help Fight Demonic Disease

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. Prompt for the Day: “Paint”

The boring people at the Daily Post division of Word Press chose what they were waiting to dry “Paint” as the word for us to create our works of art on today.

Watching Paint Dry

Tends to be really life dulling to me!  Not a painter by choice (being color blind causes problems with that form of entertainment).  Remember how difficult the junior high school art class everyone was forced to endure was for me!  The only thing I enjoyed was drawing with pencil using straight edges for prospective drawings.  Face it, even back then I had trouble with shaky hands screwing up my work!

Yeah, I am a boring person.  Have never resorted to observing paint as it tries to set up!  Am not THAT bad, at least.

If you would like to get in contact with me, all you have to do is fill out the form below:

All responses will be answered by me!

Generally, I type my blog (since my handwriting is illegible these days) to post on the internet, read books, aggravate the cat we adopted from the humane society, and perform what house hold chores that I can do successfully.  Watching T.V. tends to make me brain dead, so I avoid it in all cases!

What do you do to alleviate boredom?

Prompt for the Day: “Slowly”

The editors at the Daily Post division of Word Press must be laughing at how slow movement occurs in my life these days, so they chose the word “Slowly” to have us base our art works for the day around.

Movement Using A Wheelchair

With me tends to be slow for safety reasons!  Have ran over my own toes before.  Didn’t feel to good.  Black and blue big toe for months over that stupid move.

Throw our dorky cat into the mix and his tail gets run over more often than not.  Even when I yell “move” to warn him I am coming through, he leaves his tail exposed on the floor!  How stupid is the animal if he can’t figure out he needs to get out of the way?

Any suggestions on how to manoeuvre safely using a manual wheelchair, would be greatly appreciated!  Contact me by completing the form below:

Thanks in advance for all your helpful suggestions!

Have tried training the cat using a squirt bottle filled with water, he just runs away and sulks after getting a little wet!  No idea how to teach the animal that I just have his safety in mind when asking him to move out of the way of my wheelchair wheels.  He is terrified of my electric wheelchair, so no problem with his tail getting run over with that device.  The only problem is that my electric chair doesn’t fit in our house.

Prompt for the Day: “Muse”

The people in charge of the dictionary at the Daily Post group of Word Press accidentally turned the ‘M’ section of the book and had their fingers get stuck on the word “Muse“.

The Creature I Use as My Muse

Appears all over my web sites and postings.  His name is Tennyson.  Unfortunately, he passed away back in November of 2010.  We were living in a crappy apartment in Hastings at the time.  His spirit followed us when we moved to different floor of the same building.  Over a year later we relocated to a house we purchased in a completely new city.  His ghost still checks in on me on a regular basis!  Wish his form would knock some sense into the kitten we adopted at the beginning of December 2010.  The devil likes to use me as a teething device!

Have any advice on how to break a cat from biting?

No need to fear!  We do not ever hit the animal.  Squirting with water is how we normally train all the cats we have adopted, before.  Just doesn’t seem to be working with our latest member of the family, for some unknown reason.

Prompt for the Day: “Guest”

The introverts at the Daily Post division of Word Press are actually afraid of entertaining the word they selected for today’s prompt “Guest“.

Mis-read the Prompt at First

Thought it said “Quest” for some unknown reason.  Had a mental image of the writing describing my life’s quest.  It has taken me through many states of the country for our various residences.  Since I generally do not enjoy having people stay at the place in which I live, the prompt of guest is troubling for me!

Have No Guest Room

Here at our home now.  Technically, this is a three bedroom house.  One of them is the master bedroom in which my husband and I sleep each night.  One is in use as an office.  The third, we refer to as the spare bedroom.  It contains NO bed.

The spare bed room is where we keep the cat’s litter box, extra litter, container holding extra cat food, and the cat’s actual food and water dishes.  Also has the animal’s carrier, which he occasionally retreats to because we leave it open.

Prompt for the Day: “Pleasure”

The hedonistic people in the Daily Post division of Word Press want us to create works of art representing our personal ideas on “Pleasure“.

Do Not Experience Pleasure

Since losing the ability to work as a network engineer.  My life was about fixing various companies’ networks abilities to move data across the internet.  Sounds boring to most people, but I had the chance to tell data packets not only where to go, but how they got there!  If it was not allowed on the network, it went in the bit bucket (also known as file 13, trash, or many other knick names).  If the source was allowed but an from an annoying source, I might route it the slowest possible way to get there.  It would get there, but might take a few seconds longer than the fastest route!  My advice, Do NOT piss off the local network engineer or you may end up with crappy response times.  We are in charge of the routers for your company!

Lost my cat due to illness back in 2010.  After waiting to try to give myself time to get over his loss, we adopted another cat.  The animal we adopted is pure evil!  His favorite pass time seems to be biting me.  Finally have managed to catch on to his warning behaviours, so I tell him to get off away from me by knocking him off whatever he is on near my body before he gets the chance to sink his teeth into my skin.

Anyone have any advice on what to do with the feline version of the dog’s behavior from Stephen King’s book “Kujo”?

Daily prompt from June 27, 2015: “Deprive”

The sadists from the Daily Post group of Word Press want us to design our creations of various forms of art centering on the word “Deprive“.

Do Not Deprive Any Creature Basic Necessities of Life

To do so would be giving them a death sentence!  If you have a pet, it needs to have water available at all times.  Feeding the animal should happen at least once a day (check with your veterinarian for better instructions).  Human family members deserve the same consideration as your furry friends are given!

Family members need more than food and water.  They need social contact in the form of conversations.  Getting exercise out doors together is good for the family as a whole.  Whether it be going for a walk or bike ride, you need to get the natural vitamin ‘D’ that the sun (when it is shining) provides!  If it starts raining, it is just water after all.  Maybe kicking a ball around the yard or a park together would be fun for you guys, who knows?

Prompt for the Day: “Companion”

The apparently extroverted people at the Daily Post division of Word Press seem to think everyone needs a partner in crime, so they chose the word “Companion” for us to focus today’s creation of various forms of artistry.

Main Companion is My Husband

He is there beside me through all the horrors in my life.  He goes with me for all important medical appointments.  He even takes me to the most dreaded place of all, the hospital I go to to have my M.R.I.s taken.  Because I have to have general anaesthesia administered to be able to go through the horrible machine.

My husband is also responsible for creating my latest addiction: riding motorcycles!  We have a 2007 Honda Goldwing with a trailer that can pull my wheelchair along with us for the ride.  This enables us to get off the bike safely and stretch our legs out when needed!  Face it, everyone needs to make a call of nature periodically!  Have to find a handicap accessible rest room for my use.  Enjoy drinking water too much for my bladder’s own good.

Animal Tag-Alongs

Had two faithful cats we adopted years ago.  I picked out the one I wanted, he took the animal’s brother to live with us.  Tennyson, (my black kitten) survived travelling through many states with us.  The longest stretch of residency occurred when we lived in Colorado.  The two brother’s played on the cat tower we had purchased for them unendingly!  They used to fight over who go the top of the tower when we first got it, but then my cat discovered the hiding place near the bottom.  He used to curl up inside and sleep undisturbed until his brother caught on to where he was.  Shortly after moving in we added a humming bird feeder to the back yard.  That distracted his brother to no end!  Now my cat could take a decent nap when needed!

His cat died a few years before mine passed on.  So mine had to survive all alone when we moved to Minnesota.  The place we moved to at first was a hideous apartment complex.  My cat only suffered through two gruelling years there before he passed away.  My husband still sees both animals even though neither have ever been at our house where we now live.  I only see mine checking in on me when I am not feeling well.

We adopted a single gray kitten the year after mine passed away.  This animal is nothing like our other animals were.  I think he may have a learning disability!  He is that hard to get to understand simple concepts, like DO NOT get under my wheelchair tires.  You would think getting his tail run over would teach him.

Prompt for the Day: “Struggle”

The wimps from the Daily Post group of Word Press would like for us to focus our artistic talents on the concept of “Struggle” for today’s creations.

My Daily Struggles

Have to fight with my failing health which leaves me exhausted after a full night’s sleep.  The increasing anxiety over my illness each second of the day leaves me quivering in fear!  The antidepressants that were prescribed to me do nothing to calm my nerves like the doctor told me they would.  Have given them plenty of time for my system to adjust to the drugs, but like everything else they have tried on me, it DOES nothing to help!

Each day I feed the cat we adopted from the humane society twice a day.  The animal still has fun clawing and biting me!  Think he is a feline representative of the devil himself.  If you start petting him, keep an eye out for a mood change in him and be prepared to be attacked!  For some unknown reason he does not attack my husband.

At least I no longer have to struggle with my father the masochist!  Why my mother remains living with him is beyond me.  She works full time making more money than he could ever dream of doing.  All three of her children are fully grown now.  There are no excuses left to subject herself to his humiliations!

Prompt for the Day: “Understanding”

The highly intelligent people at the Daily Post division of Word Press want us to concentrate our artistic talents on the word “Understanding“.

But I Don’t

It is rare that my mind understands anything these days, unfortunately.  Just generally make it up as I go along today!  Makes for an interesting life, at least.  Between hallucinations and the animal we adopted a few years ago (was supposed to be a cat, but in reality is a chicken) who is the feline version of Stephen King’s Cujo.

The animal for some ungodly reason has developed a taste for my blood!  I refer to him as a demon devil.  Think Satan must be his best friend or something.  I feed the cat twice a day, every single day!  He still bites me, when I relax my guard around him.  Petting him can occasionally turn him vicious.  I might get a flash of his evil eyes as a warning, but sometimes there is no precursor to the oncoming attack.

I have no clue with this animal.  Usually, get along better with the animal kingdom than fellow humans.  We have adopted other animals before with no problems, just this last one seems possessed!  My intolerance seems to be the main problem with this creature.   He enjoys playing with toys that make noise and small bouncy balls.  After we go to bed at night you can hear him bouncing his bouncy balls all around the house.  He just refuses to play while we are in the room with him, for some reason.
