Prompt for the Day: “Simplicity”

The simple people at the Daily Press group of Word Press chose the word “Simplicity” to focus our daily works of art on.

Do these people sew?

Back when I was still able to sew things myself, started using the patterns by the company of Simplicity.  Made a full dress and pants suite in grade school.  Later on in life after I was married, used their patterns to make curtains for our house.  The patterns by this company was a go-to pattern source for both me and my mother.  Fortunately, she still has full coordination of her hands so she still uses them.  I miss being able to both sew and do needle point since I have lost my coordination due to multiple sclerosis.

A Simpler Life

Wish my life was not so complex as it has become today.  Even making a simple doctor’s appointment involves having to arrange transportation both to and from the appointment.  Haven’t been able to drive for years.  Voluntarily quit driving because of me intermittent  vision problems.

Sometimes I see double, some times I can’t see out of one of my eyes (changes which one is the problem by the day), but fortunately have never completely lost my ability to see!  Have no idea how I would handle being completely blind if it ever comes to that.  I like to read too much!

There is the other problem of I may be seriously losing my mind!  I hallucinate on a regular basis.  Tell my husband if I see something that I don’t think is actually there in real life.  Most of the time he reassures me that it isn’t there.

Please Help Fight Terrible Disease

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.
