Prompt for the Day: “Abandoned”

The prompt for the day from the cruel people at the Daily Post division of Word Press is “Abandoned“.

Too Many People / Things are Abandoned

Today’s society has everyone leaving perfectly good people and things by the wayside to fend for themselves.  Look at the number of homeless people in the U.S.A. today!  How many pets have been left wandering out on the streets looking for both food and attention?  Just because the family had to relocate, doesn’t mean their animals should be left behind.

Even things like perfectly usable furniture gets put in the garbage these days.  Granted most newer  home goods are not created to withstand the test of time, like they were in the past generations.  But they could be put to some use if you had a little imagination!

Even our returning veterans who suffer from one form or another of PTSD can be helped with counseling and/ or medications to help stabilize their feelings of outside threats.  They risked their lives defending our country for our safety here at home.  The least we can do is give them a secure place and help overcoming their illnesses!  They may never go back to being who they were before their service, but their experiences should not be wasted out on the streets.

Please Help Fight Evil Disease

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with contribute to the fund, click on the following link: https://www.gofundme.com/zfabhdes
