Prompt for the Day-“Just Another Day”

The inquiring people at the Daily Post department of Word Press crafted today’s prompt of “Just Another Day” to ignite our creative sparks.  They made one additional comment, followed by a question: “Our days are organized around numerous small actions we repeat over and over. What’s your favorite daily ritual?”

My favorite Daily Ritual

The prompt for today made me think of the wonderful song “Another Day in Paradise” by the talented musician Phil Collins.

My personal favorite daily ritual happens around one in the afternoon each day.  I eat three squares of pure dark chocolate by Hersey’s Bliss, while reading a book.  Once that is completed, I proceed to call my best friend from grade, junior, senior high school.  We were friends long before I took her with me to my grandparents in grade school, where my grandma started laughing at us because neither of us knew we were actually cousins!  Even though we turned out to be related, we continued our friendship!  (All of my other relatives, I do not get along with at all.)  I naturally do not hold being related to me against my good friend.

Please Help Fight this Evil Disease

The medicine my neurologist has put me on for my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.
