Prompt for the Day: “Solitude”

I did my best thinking when I was little alone up in an old apple tree enjoying the Solitude of being one with God in a natural setting!

Think Introverts of Daily Post at Word Press

Selected today’s prompt to justify their need for alone time.  Who doesn’t need time in peace and quiet to think more clearly each day?  Some times you simply MUST quiet the clamoring of every day life and take a rest break in peace and quiet!  No television, internet, radio, or other devices crying out for your undivided attention.  Just an occasional brief respite in pure and unadulterated solitude.

Everyone needs to experience some much deserved seclusion.  Taking a break from the noise of daily life and the problems associated with it.  Maybe curling up with a pet that is in your life for a brief moment.  Pets can help reduce daily stress by interacting with them on a daily basis.  The pet may be another cause of stress if the animal has a habit of waking you up in the middle of the night because it feels lonely with everyone in bed trying to get a little shut eye.

Apparently, not all creatures enjoy a little isolation.  May have to forcibly teach the animal the world does not stop on his wishes.  We always tell him when we are planning on getting up each morning before heading to bed at night.

Please Help Fight Evil Disease

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with contribute to the fund, click on the following link: https://www.gofundme.com/zfabhdes

Prompt for the Day: “Mask”

The prompt for our artistic creations for today given to us by the people at the Daily Post division of Word Press is “Mask“.

What type of Masks do you Wear?

As an introvert, I wear a mask to hide behind my realities of life.  Generally do not enjoy speaking to strangers.  Detest putting myself out there for the public to view.  Prefer talking to others over the internet where I feel much more comfortable, since I am a computer nerd at heart.  Not too many people get physically attacked over computer postings, as long as you do not give out you exact location of where your computer is located.  So I exist in the dark of our house.  Keep methods of self defence near me in every room here!

My husband and I took classes in Taekwondo while we were still dating years ago.  Still keep the moves in practice in case I ever need to defend myself today.   Let some evil person try attacking me, could use the exercise that would come from killing someone!  (Have never actually killed anyone, yet.)  Just remember all the heart pumping fun we used to have at practice with our instructor.

Prompt for the Day: “Unexpected Guests”

The prompt for today was unappealing, so I used the prompt offered on December 15th by the extroverts at the Daily Post division of Word Press.  The prompt I have chosen to use is “Unexpected Guests“.  They also gave two additional sentences to whet our writing apatite – “You walk into your home to find a couple you don’t know sitting in your living room, eating a slice of cake. Tell us what happens next.”

As an introvert who is very concerned with safety, if my husband is not home, the first thing I do is get on my cell phone which I  carry with me everywhere and call 911!  Proceed to the back door where my wheelchair ramp is (if I am not deterred) and escape with my life still intact.

Once the police arrive, have them dispose of whatever the intruders were eating (cake is not normally in our home) and thank the nice officers.  Ask the police if they had any idea how the people were able to break into our home, so we can correct the security problem.

If my husband is home, there will be an argument after the strangers leave about why he didn’t warn me they were coming.  After the heated discussion is finished, resume talking about what is on the schedule for the remainder of the day.

Prompt of the Day – “Seat Guru”

The extroverts at the Daily Post group of Word Press chose “Seat Guru” for today’s writing prompt.  One sentence of instruction, followed by a question:  “You get to plan a dinner party for 4-8 of your favorite writers/artists/musicians/other notable figures, whether dead or alive. Who do you seat next to whom in order to inspire the most fun evening?”

First choice would be Albert Einstein

Face it, the man came up with the theory of relativity!  What an exciting physicist of his age.  Would love to discus physics with the man.  He knows what it is like to survive as an introvert with a mind that works non-stop all the time.  Seat him next to the door, in case he needs to escape from the crowd.

Second, Ray Bradbury

Mr. Bradbury was one of my favorite authors in grade school.  Read every one of his books that the school library contained (considering not many people in the town had ever heard of him, that wasn’t too many).

Phil Collins would be next

Collins has been my favorite musician since junior high school.  Both me and my husband still enjoy many of his works today!  Getting involved with  creating sound tracks for movies definitely was a stroke of genius as far as his career as a composer goes in making an ongoing need for his craft.

Alan Alda is the last

From Alan‘s portrayal of Hawkeye Pierce on the classic television show “MASH“,  his character was the life of the party!  He needs to wear the tuxedo his father (in the show) sent him.  No party exists with out his presence.
