Prompt for the Day-“Just Another Day”

The inquiring people at the Daily Post department of Word Press crafted today’s prompt of “Just Another Day” to ignite our creative sparks.  They made one additional comment, followed by a question: “Our days are organized around numerous small actions we repeat over and over. What’s your favorite daily ritual?”

My favorite Daily Ritual

The prompt for today made me think of the wonderful song “Another Day in Paradise” by the talented musician Phil Collins.

My personal favorite daily ritual happens around one in the afternoon each day.  I eat three squares of pure dark chocolate by Hersey’s Bliss, while reading a book.  Once that is completed, I proceed to call my best friend from grade, junior, senior high school.  We were friends long before I took her with me to my grandparents in grade school, where my grandma started laughing at us because neither of us knew we were actually cousins!  Even though we turned out to be related, we continued our friendship!  (All of my other relatives, I do not get along with at all.)  I naturally do not hold being related to me against my good friend.

Please Help Fight this Evil Disease

The medicine my neurologist has put me on for my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign. It’s not Valentine’s Day, but the staff at the Daily Post division of Word Press want us to be thinking in a male’s false sense of romance by choosing the following daily prompt of “Secret Admirers“.  They also made a statement followed by a question – “You return home to discover a huge flower bouquet waiting for you, no card attached. Who is it from — and why did they send it to you?”

Why has someone sent a Bouquet?

The only persons that come to mind is someone who is basically a spineless human.  Technically it could be a florist’s computer system’s malfunction, but the likelihood of that occurrence is about the same as winning your seventeenth million dollar lottery!

My realistic guess is there is some male who thinks he has fallen in love with you.  Just pray he doesn’t turn out to be a stalker!  Could also be a female, but they tend to prefer fragrances.

Since I personally am allergic to flowers in general, people who know me wouldn’t be dumb enough to cause an asthma attack by exposing me to flowers!  Perfumes are even for my ability to continue breathing.

In this day and age who still has secret admirers?

Think the most common ones are either parents, grandparents, or just friends of the family in general.  Most of the people mentioned here are generally safe and good nurtured, but there are always the exception to this rule of thumb.  If you feel threatened in any way, don’t hesitate to let an authority figure know what is going on.  Your life may literally depend on that knowledge!
