Am very proud of my best friend (second cousin) Rachel who has raised several children, and is now a grandmother to her first grandchild. She deserves a “Pat on the Back” for surviving her first disastrous marriage and then finding the courage to look for love again afterwards.
Rachel is Happily Married to Kevin
Kevin was diagnosed with the same disease I have been suffering from since grade school. The annoying disease called multiple sclerosis took his life calling of EMT from him. He is now unemployed, but she continues to stick by him throughout his MS attacks. Working two separate jobs to support her family, she wonders why she is always tired.
She suffers from fibromyalgia silently. Her body constantly revolts against her struggles as a nurse. She helps others survive in nursing homes and other places a starting out nurse is employed. Lifting elderly patients when they need help moving around is all in a day’s work for her. Administering injections to vaccinate young children from horrible diseases like polio and tetanus is fun for her for some ungodly reason! Both Kevin and I agree she must have a hidden cruel side if she likes causing little kids pain. But we love her just the same!
Please Help Fight this Evil Disease
The medicine my neurologist has prescribed for me for my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.
