Prompt for the Day: “Countless”

The optimistic people at the Daily Post division of Word Press thought we should  create our plethora of works of art based on the word “Countless“.

I Enjoy Counting

Have been given countless blessings during my life.  Have a best friend that turned out to actually be my second cousin (I don’t hold that fact against her!).  We now reside in different states of the country, but we leave each other voice mail every day and share posts on the internet with each other.

Married a handsome young man I met while in college.  We married the day after I graduated.  Have been together for over 20 years now.  Have lived in several locations of the U.S.A.  Not planning on moving away from our current home until I pass away.

Have adopted 3 cats during our time together.  The first two while we lived in the Chicago metro area.  We took those 2 with us when we moved to Colorado.  Lived 7 glorious years in that beautiful state.  Then we moved them and ourselves to a place I refer to as HELL, most people know it as Wisconsin.  Only lasted around 8 months there.  Starting us on moving as far away as we could get from our loss of happiness.  We picked ourselves back up slowly and started regaining a stable income.  Relocated back to the place we had originally met.

My health was sliding away much too fast.  Had to start taking a new medication that was just released known by the brand name of Tysabri.  It made me feel like shit, it was taken off the market since I was not the only one having problems with the drug.  One of our cats had to be put to sleep, because it was getting sick all the time.  Had a great time meeting up with a former co-worker from my first networking job.  My husband got fed up with his work and packed  me and the remaining cat up and had his step father come down to drive me and my cat up to WI where he and his wife were living.  The rest of our belongings were driven up in a U-Haul truck driven by my husband.  He dropped the U-Hail off in the parking lot of an apartment complex my in-laws had found for us to live in located in MN.  We were told it was a handicap accessible apartment.  (Not sure what the people who said that had been smoking or taking, but it was NOT ACCESSIBLE for my electric wheelchair!)  Thankfully still had the manual one we had purchased back in 1996 with us.  Had been through much abuse during the moves, but was still functional.  Lived about seven years in the complex from hades.

Then we relocated one final time to the home we are currently purchasing here in Minnesota.  Am not counting on any moving in my future.  Like the neighbors here too much!  My counting days are at an end.

Please Help Fight Terrible Disease

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.
