Prompt for the Day: “I Can’t Stay Mad at You”

Am convinced the people at the Daily Press group of Word Press knows me too well!  They came up with “I can’t stay Mad at You” for the daily prompt.  They asked one solitary question: “Do you hold grudges or do you believe in forgive and forget?”

I tend to hold grudges with the best of them!  Take after my grandpa.  Miss him seriously since the emphysema caused him to pass away.  He would argue with a fence post if it could argue back!

Have an excellent long term memory, just my short term memory seems to be affected by my multiple sclerosis.  Still remember all the people who were mean to me growing up in school, back before I left home to attend college.  Don’t worry, can’t forget!  I’ve tried.

Will never forgive the surgeon who literally got on my nerves during my first surgery to insert a sub pubic catheter in my body.  Woke up while he was cutting into me!  He said he could not give me anything to sedate me anymore.  After three years living with the pain from having my nerves cut, he preformed another surgery to relocate the catheter away from my nerves.  At least this time I slept all the way through the procedure.  First  surgery site still bothers me depending on the weather!

Please help me fight disease

The medicine my neurologist has me on for my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri.  Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is impossible.  I remember when I first started on it , the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500.  There was no way my husband and I could afford that every 28 days!  Biogen (manufacturing drug company) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue indefinitely.  So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.  To contribute to it click, on the following link: https://www.gofundme.com/zfabhdes

All help will be greatly appreciated.   Thank you for your generosity!

Great day!

My husband replaced my sub pubic catheter yesterday.   It wasn’t letting urine flow through it like normal.  Been feeling a little ill for a couple of days.  He removed it to discover that the part that was inside my body had started to crystallize again.

Got up this morning to find that my right ankle / foot which had been swollen for several days was back to normal.  It hadn’t hurt or anything, so I wasn’t too worried about it.  Think the swelling was caused by a weather front that moved through over night.

Called and placed order with Merwin Home Medical for two replacement catheters.   Just wish their web site still enabled me to place order directly from the web page.  Let the lady know that it was not a rush situation, since I have one spare left in the house.  Just do not like to risk not having a spare on hand.

Got a call from the gentleman who will be supervising the build of my wheelchair ramp letting me know he would be dropping supplies off in our back yard for my ramp it to built next week!  I was just hoping to have a ramp up before thje end of July.  That way we wouldn’t have to deal with surviving another winter ramp less.  He works for a company called Tree Trust.  Link to Tree Trust web site   In his spare time, he donates hours to an organization whose goal is to create access for everyone  link to organization that creates access to everyone.

He told me that my records were processed resulting in the cost of my ramp to bee free!  Just had to supply the ramp builders with our tax records for the past two years along with pay stubs for the past six months.  I have no problem with doing a little research on  the computer for others.  Have even less of a problem when the research benefits me or my husband!

Can’t wait until next week gets here and they get started.  From the weather forecast I watched this morning, think it will be rained out unfortunately.  But at least I know it will be built!
