Prompt for the Day: “Forbidden”

The godlike people at the Daily Post division of Word Press want us to craft our various works of art around the word “Forbidden“.

To Me, that Word is a Challenge

Forbid me to do something almost is a guarantee I will go out and do just that!  My mom caught on to that fact a lot earlier than I did.  She did not discourage me from dating a boy in college, who wasn’t worth wasting my precious time on.  So I continued to date him for a year, till I decided to dump the looser.  If she had forbidden me to see him, who knows I might have ended up marrying him.  Thank God she didn’t forbid me that valuable learning experience!

These days, the only one who forbids me from doing something is my doctors.  They do it with my safety in mind, so I completely follow their recommendations to the letter!  Since I am a recovering alcoholic, avoiding liquor is something I do anyway.

If youwould like to contact me, just fill out the form below:

All comments will be personally read by myself.  They are appreciated and desired!

Do you go pursue things that are forbidden?

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign. Prompt for the Day: “Layers”

The pastry minded people from the Daily Post group of Word Press must have been imagining fancy cakes when they chose the word “Layers” for us to create works of art based on the word.

Made Me Remember a Scene from Shrek

The one when Donkey is complaining that Shrek had too many layers.  Donkey compared him to a Parfait. Shrek complained that he didn’t like parfaits, he was more like an onion.  They got into a put-down match which ended up with Donkey admitting maybe Shrek was like an onion, meaning they stank after sitting out in the sun too long!

Who Doesn’t Have Layers to Their Life?

Both the face you put on in public and the one you wear in private.  In public I appear nice, quiet, and polite.  In private, I complain quite loudly about the current situations!

If you would like to contact me directly all you need to do is fill out the form below:

All comments will be read and appreciated by me intimately!

Who doesn’t put on a false face to the world?  If we let them know how injured we survived on the inside, they would definitely attack to rip us to shreds with their cutting, cruel, thoughtless words!  That is why we show them smiley, happy faces while we are actually crying on the inside.

Prompt for the Day: “Autonomy”

The independent people at the Daily Post division of Word Press decided we should craft our works of art around the word “Autonomy“.

Am Independent Myself

There is no controlling my actions how ever stupid they may be!  I am singularly responsible for all my idiotic life decisions.  My political views tend to favor the republicans these days, but who knows what I will end up voting for this year?

The world itself seems messed up these days.  Too many groups killing each other for no discernible reasons!  Just a blood fest, I guess.

If you would like to contact me to give opinions or suggestions, all you need to do is fill out the form below:

All responses will be read and greatly appreciated by me!

Am very protective of the sick and elderly of this world.  Little children and innocent animals have nothing to fear from me!  Adults, that is another story.  Am fully capable of defending myself even though confined to a wheelchair.  Have the entire house set up for self defence with things you would not think were weapons!  I know how to put them to good use for safety.  Try me and find out if you dare!

Prompt for the Day: “Island”

Prompt made me think of the old song popular while I was in high school : Islands in  the Stream

Being Handicapped I Avoid Water

Means I do not visit Islands now.  Used to be a registered Red Cross certified life guard in junior high school, before multiple sclerosis eventually confined me permanently to a wheelchair.  Am now terrified of being in or near water, since I will not be able to save even myself!

If you would like to offer any comments or suggestions, all you need to do is simply fill out the form below:

All comments will be read by me personally!

Basically, these days I type on a computer since my handwriting is no longer legible because of shaky hands.  At least my writings get put out where the whole world has a chance to read them if they desire!  My writing may not be the greatest, but it is my contribution as a work of art.  Humor is necessary for survival these days.  It is all I can give to the greater world population at this time.

Got my first real network engineering job by being able to tell a joke!  How absurd a qualification is that?  All it proved was I would be able to survive in an all male environment, since it was what was considered a “dirty” joke back then.  It is mild by today’s standards.

Prompt for the Day: “Burn”

The sadists from the Daily Post group of Word Press want us to focus our works of art based on the word “Burn“.

Don’t Burn Me!

Have been burned both literally and figuratively in my life.  Too many times by my own stupidity!  We are not even going into the time I accidentally burned the carpeting in the bedroom of my first apartment while playing with a candle making a phone call.  Can we say “DUH”?  Was talking with a guy (who would later be the man I would marry…) so I had my mind on other things.  Was a little gun shy after the last kid I dated broke into my apartment and stole my underwear (talk about sick)!  Who gets off on an ex-girlfriend’s underwear?

If you would like to contact me personally, all you need to do is fill out the form below:

All replies will be read and appreciated by me!  Thanks for any suggestions on how to avoid being burned.

Maybe we should just avoid playing with matches?  We now store them away from volatile substances here at home. Have absolutely no carpeting in the house! The only use we have for matches is burning one so the sulfur smell masks the stench of having taken a smelly shit!

Prompt for the Day: “Pleasure”

The hedonistic people in the Daily Post division of Word Press want us to create works of art representing our personal ideas on “Pleasure“.

Do Not Experience Pleasure

Since losing the ability to work as a network engineer.  My life was about fixing various companies’ networks abilities to move data across the internet.  Sounds boring to most people, but I had the chance to tell data packets not only where to go, but how they got there!  If it was not allowed on the network, it went in the bit bucket (also known as file 13, trash, or many other knick names).  If the source was allowed but an from an annoying source, I might route it the slowest possible way to get there.  It would get there, but might take a few seconds longer than the fastest route!  My advice, Do NOT piss off the local network engineer or you may end up with crappy response times.  We are in charge of the routers for your company!

Lost my cat due to illness back in 2010.  After waiting to try to give myself time to get over his loss, we adopted another cat.  The animal we adopted is pure evil!  His favorite pass time seems to be biting me.  Finally have managed to catch on to his warning behaviours, so I tell him to get off away from me by knocking him off whatever he is on near my body before he gets the chance to sink his teeth into my skin.

If you would like to contact me personally, simply fill out the form below:

All messages will be read and responded to!  Thank you in advance for filling this out.

Anyone have any advice on what to do with the feline version of the dog’s behavior from Stephen King’s book “Kujo”?

Prompt for the Day: “Tourist”

The homebodies from the Daily Post group of Word Press want us to create works of art based in the word “Tourist” today.

Loved Playing Tourist

While I lived in Lombard (Chicago suburb) for 18 months and then when we moved to Colorado.  There were so many exciting places to explore.  Chicago offers many great museums and wonderful public transportation via the train systems.  Colorado lacked transportation services, but made up for it with the beautiful mountain scenery!

Used a wheelchair only when necessary while we lived in both places.  Glad I didn’t become confined to a wheelchair permanently until after we moved away from both places.  Here in MN, they have great transportation for the handicapped via a service known as Metro Mobility.  That service has a specially designed bus / van? that picks you up at the door you specify and delivers you to the front door of your designation.  If you request it, they return to take you back home after you finish your outing.

If you would like to contact me personally, all you have to do is fill out the form below.  I will read and respond to each submission.

Look forward to your comments and or suggestions!  This home body likes to stay in our safe handicap accessible home near my great neighbors!  Would like it even better if it was winter, but at least we have decent air conditioning.  Spring, Summer, and Fall tend to be too warm for my health!

Daily prompt from June 27, 2015: “Deprive”

The sadists from the Daily Post group of Word Press want us to design our creations of various forms of art centering on the word “Deprive“.

Do Not Deprive Any Creature Basic Necessities of Life

To do so would be giving them a death sentence!  If you have a pet, it needs to have water available at all times.  Feeding the animal should happen at least once a day (check with your veterinarian for better instructions).  Human family members deserve the same consideration as your furry friends are given!

Family members need more than food and water.  They need social contact in the form of conversations.  Getting exercise out doors together is good for the family as a whole.  Whether it be going for a walk or bike ride, you need to get the natural vitamin ‘D’ that the sun (when it is shining) provides!  If it starts raining, it is just water after all.  Maybe kicking a ball around the yard or a park together would be fun for you guys, who knows?

If you would like to contact me personally, all you have to do is fill out the form below:

Prompt for June 18th 2016: “Perfection”

Being fellow protectionists like myself, the people at the Daily Post division of Word Press chose a prompt for June 18th 2016 of “Perfection” to make sure we made our best efforts in our daily creations of various forms of art.

Been a Perfectionist All My Life

Started reading at the wise old age of 3 years old.  My mom figured this out when I would object when she was trying to read to me as I went to bed at night and she would try cutting the story short.  I could see there was still many more words on the book she was trying to skip over!  Knew all my Doctor Suess books by memory.  You know the books “One Fish, Two Fish…”, Green Eggs and Ham, …  Then Christmas time rolled in with the classic “Twas the Night Before Christmas” book, my mom tried cutting that story short, too.  So I would sit up in bed and finish the story for her word for word!  Talk about a desire for perfection at a young age.

Then I started kindergarten at age 4.  My poor teacher, I was a stubborn handful who expected every thing to work as planned.  We were doing some speed reading drills with a few of my classmates who also already knew how to read.  She held up the card that had “ship” written on it.  Not being familiar with ships, but very familiar with the practice of hauling “shit” on our farm, I yelled out “shit” quite confidently!  Had to spend recess in side as punishment.  Missed getting to climb the monkey bars with my friends.  Was not too happy about the development.

The teacher’s aide there happened to be my aunt who ran home and told everyone that I had misbehaved in school that day.  So the guys on the farm had to change the way they described their habits to hauling manure instead of hauling shit!  Considering I ended up having two younger brothers come into my life, was a good change to have made!

Prompt for the Day: “Empty”

The soul less people at the Daily Post group of Word Press want us to center our artistic talents on the word “Empty“.

Most Rarely Feel Empty

They may lose their ways to commonly searching for the quick easy answers to life.  Feeling empty to me means having completely given up on God!  Doesn’t the sun come out to some extent each day?  Don’t at least the weeds grow in your yard?  From the musical “Annie” there was a song “The Sun will come out tomorrow

Even during the worst periods of my life, the sun has came out eventually.  Just have to have the patience to endure your pain and other problems until you see the light come out from the darkness!

Suicide is too permanent of a decision to make.  Avoid the temptation!  More people than you know may be depending on your survival.  If you want to get in touch with me, simply fill out this form:
