Prompt for the Day: “Unpredictable”

The boring people at the Daily Post division of Word Press chose a shocking word “Unpredictable” for us to create our artistic works on today.

Life Itself is Random

The only guarantees are you WILL die and pay taxes!  Neither are cheerful subjects.  Who enjoys paying taxes?  Do not fear the concept of death, it will be a welcome change of life patterns.

Do you think that the people killed in terrorist events where expecting to die that day (not including the actual terrorist)?  Or people trampled by the bulls attending the running of the bulls who got trampled to death?

If you would like to contact me simply fill out the form below:

All responses will be read by me personally!

Sort of funny that people actually use a random number generator when life itself is random! Kind of defeats the purpose, doesn’t it? The whole “Random Acts of Kindness” should just be plain acts of kindness which decent people do on a regular basis (it is just in their nature)!

Face it the only truly predictable things are politicians lying to the public!  Would be great if they actually had to face legal consequences like the average American does each day.

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely.

Prompt for the Day: “Nightmare”

The timid people at the Daily Post group of Word Press would like us to center our daily works of art around the word “Nightmare“.

My Question: Which One?

Have too many existing nightmares in my life!  My health (or lack of decent health), paying for all my medicines, something happening to my husband, potential damage to our house, the list goes on and on.

In the apartment complex we used to rent from, each night was filled by being woke up from neighbors yelling at all hours of the night.  Drug deals going on in the apartment next door.  Never got a decent night’s sleep in the years we lived in that hell hole!

I actually sleep much better in the house we are purchasing.  Great neighbors and emergency personnel if anything goes wrong are only a scream or phone call away!

If you would like to contact me, all you need to do is fill out the form below:

All comments will be appreciated and read by myself personally!

Am curious to your personal responses to having a nightmare.

Should be interesting to learn of any suggestions you may offer me.  Looking forward to reading your enlightening suggestions!

Prompt for the Day: “Storm”

The terrified people at the Daily Post division of Word Press selected the scary word of “Storm” for us to create our artworks around for the day.

I’m Strange, I Love Storms!

On that note, remember the old classic from my childhood?  By musician Edie Rabbitt here is the song “I Love A Rainy Night“.

Storms help me get a decent night’s sleep for some strange reason.  Face it, moisture is good for the soil.  It makes things grow and cleans the air out side.  Lightning is God’s natural fireworks for us to enjoy.  (Just avoid getting struck by it!)

I realize most little kids are scared of storms.  The noisy thunder (just tell them it is God bowling up in the heavens) and the bright blinding flashes of light (lightening) will eventually pass like a bad dream does.  Just have them huddle with you somewhere that is safe until it blows over.   You could try playing games with them to help keep their minds on something else.

A family sing along might be appropriate at this time.  Just pick a comforting song you all know by heart.  Tell funny stories to them, they might eventually fall asleep if you are lucky!

Prompt for the Day: “Journey”

The homebodies from the Daily Post group of Word Press want us to create art around the word “Journey“.

Am Content to Stay at Home

Have everything I need here in this location.  Great transportation is available when I have to visit doctors.  Neighbors are friendly.  Emergency personnel do their jobs thoroughly.  Local police keep our homes safe.  What more could I want?  My days of travelling all over the country ended due to having to resign my job due to health problems.  Am wheelchair bound now, unfortunately.

My husband now is forced by his employer to visit locations out of state for training.  He is not adapting to the new locations like I did.  Forgot to take his pillow or something to remind him of home, I guess!

If you would like to contact me, simply fill out the form below:

All responses will be read by myself!  Thank you for your time.

My journeys have been completed.  Where will yours lead you?

Used to dream of being an astronaut when I was little.  Until I went away to college and learned there was a height requirement that I had no chance of meeting.  Am only a little over five feet tall.

Prompt for the Day: “Guest”

The introverts at the Daily Post division of Word Press are actually afraid of entertaining the word they selected for today’s prompt “Guest“.

Mis-read the Prompt at First

Thought it said “Quest” for some unknown reason.  Had a mental image of the writing describing my life’s quest.  It has taken me through many states of the country for our various residences.  Since I generally do not enjoy having people stay at the place in which I live, the prompt of guest is troubling for me!

Have No Guest Room

Here at our home now.  Technically, this is a three bedroom house.  One of them is the master bedroom in which my husband and I sleep each night.  One is in use as an office.  The third, we refer to as the spare bedroom.  It contains NO bed.

The spare bed room is where we keep the cat’s litter box, extra litter, container holding extra cat food, and the cat’s actual food and water dishes.  Also has the animal’s carrier, which he occasionally retreats to because we leave it open.

Prompt for the Day: “Cowardice”

The strong, brave people at the Daily Post group of Word Press chose the word “Cowardice” to have us base our works of art on for the day.

Am a Chicken, Basically

Pain sends my running at the first twinges.  If I am the one in control of the pain, I can tolerate it much better!  That is why I cut out the plantar wart from my toe myself to avoid having to go to our evil doctor!  Reset my ring finger on one of my hands for the same reason.

Have no fear of blood, so that is never a problem for me.  Probably a good thing since I end up with various injuries I cause myself by doing stupid things!  Running over my own toes with my wheelchair tends to hurt and cause my foot to start bleeding on my right foot.  Still haven’t figured out why that foot’s toes are so sensitive to the slightest pressure.  Why it causes me to bleed uncontrollably is beyond me!

Blood and cat vomit do not make me ill.  They just make me work to get them cleaned up before my husband sees them (or he will throw up, too)!

Prompt for the Day: “Desert”

The thirsty people at the Daily Post group of Word Press must have been looking for the nearest oasis when they chose the word “Desert” for our daily prompt!

Used to Live in a Semi Arid Location

There were extreme water restrictions in the neighbour hoods.  Could only water the lawns on predetermined days.  The city of Aurora, Colorado left us begging for a decent rain during the warm months.  Once the cooler weather hit, it began to snow!  No rain, just lots of snow.  Once we had survived the winter, got hit with spring hail storms!  It hailed so much, they had to send the snow plows out to clean hail of the roads.  Then got a freak late season blizzard of snow!  Several feet causing complete white out driving conditions.  Talk about weird weather conditions!

The thought of trying to live in an actual desert scares me.  Have enough problems with constant dry skin and dry eyes, can’t imagine what life in an actual desert must be like!

The thought of living in a place that goes without rainfall to me would be a huge fire risk!  Most vegetation needs water to exist day to day.  Guess that is why cacti are so popular there.  Tried growing an Aloe Vera plant once in high school.  It didn’t like getting over watered, so I stopped watering it!  It actually grew into the window sill I had it resting on.  So apparently lack of water does not harm the plant.

Prompt for the Day: “Glass”

The fearful people from the Daily Post division of Word Press want us to create works of art focusing on the word “Glass“.

Optimists:

See their glass as always being full!

Pessimists:

See their glass as being low or completely empty.

Realists:

See they have a GLASS!  (DUH)

You can figure out for yourself which category I fall into.  Shouldn’t be to much of a stretch for your mind to endure.  I take things at face value.  Either it is good or bad, you know black and white.  Am actually color blind, so black appears orange to me these days.

Makes getting dressed in the morning a trial of memory, do I remember what color those pants are so I can try to remember what shirts go with it.  Since my favorite color was blue in kindergarten, most of my pants are black which blue shirts go well with!  Then again, I thought the house we live in was blue when in truth my husband says it is a khaki color.  If something my mind thinks is good, it will appear blue to me!

Prompt for the Day: “False”

The writers in charge at the Daily Post group of Word Press want to send us cringing back to our younger days with the choice of “False” as to day’s word to ignite our creative flames

False Sent Me Back to Junior High School

All of the females back then were stuffing their bras each and every day.  Like most of them, I had not developed any cleavage yet, but I refused to waste time faking it, since I had to milk the cows each morning before catching the bus to ride to school each day.  Still dressed like a boy to attend class, also wanted to be a boy.  Boys had it so much easier than girls did!  They got to urinate standing up, instead of having to sit down on the toilet.  They also did not have to deal with their bodies acting up every month like clock-work!

Ended up stuffing my bra using falsies for a job interview years later while we resided in Colorado.  Believe it or not, I actually landed that position!  Once I had the job, did not stuff my bra ever again.

Speaking of false, makes me think of the word “sham”.  What do you wash your hair with?  Sham Poo!  Translation:  False Shit  (“Poo is used frequently for a polite word for little kid’s feces)

Prompt for the Day: “Darkness”

The frightened people at the Daily Post division of Word Press thought using today’s prompt of “Darkness” would force us to create works of horror or something!

Prefer the Dark Now

It has to be completely dark for me to be able to go to sleep.  Even if my husband leaves a light on in the other room, I can not fall into a deep slumber!  Hate lying in bed not able to go to sleep.  So eventually go back into the front room to wake him up because he has fallen asleep in his recliner, again!  He then proceeds to turn off the lights so we both can retire to the bedroom for a decent night’s sleep.

When I was little, I was afraid of the dark.   Who knew what monsters were lurking in the night?  That is when the vampires and zombies in the books I read would attack their innocent victims! (Yeah, I read too much.)  Stephen King books all foretold of the evil that lurks in the dark.  Was a big fan of his books back then.

All responses will be read by me intimately!

Have no fear of the dark now.  Actually welcome not having the lights shining in my face these days!  Prefer residing in the shadows now.
