Shiver is the Prompt for Today

The people at the Daily Post group of Word Press must have either been in a really cold room or frightened when they chose “Shiver” for us to create our various works of art on for today.

Love Feeling Cold

Unfortunately, rarely feel cold enough to cause involuntary body trembling.  That is why we relocated up to the northern part of the continental United States of America the country where we were both born and raised.

Has been suggested that I try moving to:

  1. Alaska
  2. Finland
  3. Siberia
  4. Iceland
  5. Antarctica

You get the idea.  None of those places has the medical facilities I require to treat my multiple sclerosis.  Nor do they necessarily have a suitable place of employment for my husband!  Quiver in horror at the idea of forcing our cat to suffer through the idea of another move.

What makes you shiver?

To get Shivers of fear:

I recommend reading one of author Stephen King‘s novels or watching one of the film adaptations of one of his many books.

If you are a fan of the older generation books and movies, maybe a good Alfred Hitchcock selection would satisfy you best!

Please Help Fight Hideous Disease

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. Carry is the Prompt for Today

The weaklings at the Daily Post division of Word Press want us to think of creating works of art representing the word “Carry“/

Music First

Carry On My Wayward Son by the music group Kansas.

Try to Lug Your Canoe Across Land

That is how the Native American Indians used to carry their possessions from place to place.  Tribes relocated following food sources back in the old days.  My Great Grandmother passed away long before I was born.  She may have had to deal with these life experiences in her time.  Unfortunately, I truly doubt she did because she was confined on a federal reservation for her “kind”.  Talk about discrimination!

If you wish to contact me, all you are required to do is fill out the simple form located below:

All comments will be read by me, personally!

Never got to engage in a conversation with her

Wish I had been able to meet her!  Grandpa says I think just like she did.  We could have carried on for hours about the disrespect young people show their elders today!  Do you have any ancestors you wish you could have met?

Live my life carrying guilt about the problems I have caused my family due to my crappy health problems.  On the positive side, at least I no longer have to transport heavy bales of hay!

Confused Is Prompt For Day

The perplexed people at the Daily Post group of Word Press actually managed to make a clear choice for the prompt of the day of the word “Confused” for our art works to be based on.

Am Always Bewildered Lately

Have absolutely no idea how I get myself into these muddled messes.  Went with bright and clear shining eyes into asking the man I ended up marrying to marry me.  He turned around and dashed my dreams of happiness with him against the cave walls in the nearest park.  Flat out told me NO!  He wasn’t ready, yet.

Did your first marriage proposal go as you planned?

We had already picked out our wedding rings.  Talk about confusion.  Either he liked me or not, he was the man I wanted to live the rest of my life with!  I was attending college at the time, we had been sharing an apartment together for months to try to reduce costs.  Was sharing a bed with a guy who had told me he was not interested in marrying me.  A few days more ticked by, with me studying for a physics exam.  The actual day of the test, he handed me my engagement ring asking me to marry him!  Needless to say I failed the examination.  Ended up having to retake the class in the next semester.

If you would like to contact me, you simply HAVE to fill out the form below:

All responses will be read carefully!

We have been married for well over 20 years now.  Have lived in different states of the United States of America.  Have had our phenomenal periods and our devastating atrocious nightmares.  Who doesn’t go through this type of life?

Obsessed is the Prompt of the Day

The singly driven people of the Daily Post would like our art to be based on the word “Obsessed” for today.

What has Me Obsessed?

Memories of the mountains in Colorado, where we used to live.  That and the two cats we had adopted from a humane society while in the Chicago-metro area.  Took both animals along with us for our adventures in CO.  Miss those two so much it hurts!  Their spirits have followed us through many different states of this country.

My husband says he still sees both of the animals.  I only see the one I picked out to be adopted.  That one comes around whenever I am feeling sick or really sad.  Wish I could convince him to beat up the cat we adopted after he passed away, since it likes to bite and claw me!

If you have any suggestions on how to keep the cat from using me as his personal chew toy, All you need to do is fill out the form below:

All suggestions will be read by me personally.  Thank you for your helpful advice!

“Maybe” is the Prompt for the Day

The indecisive humans at the Daily Post division of Word Press chose the word “Maybe” to be the prompt for the day.

Do You Mean Yes or No?

You either agree or disagree.  Make a stand for once by sticking to your decision.  The world will respect you more for being able to make your mind up!

How do you feel around people who can’t make up their own minds?

Growing up I always knew right where my goals where.  That made it a lot easier to make a decision!  Now that I seem to be literally losing my mind due to health issues, I have trouble making good decisions in life.

Fortunately, I married a wonderful man years ago that has stuck with me through both the good times and the bad times.  Yeah we argue a lot, but who doesn’t enjoy a good argument?  There was no debate team in the school where I grew up, or I would have been their star competitor!  I’d argue with a fence post, if it actually had the ability to speak.  Get that tendency from my Grandfather.  So you could say I inherited it naturally.

Prompt for the Day: “Stubborn”

The people at the Daily Post group of Word Press must really know me well, because they chose the word “Stubborn” for us to create works of art representing the word itself.

It Comes Naturally to Me!

Take after my mom’s father.  He was too stubborn to go peacefully when he had problems breathing due to emphysema.  Could have been from his career as an sailor with the U.S. Navy, or from his addiction to cigars, who knows.  He lived through lots of other types of cancer like lung, skin, and others that I forget!

He and my Uncle Jimmy Jones used to have a bet on who would die first.  Unfortunately, (or fortunately) Grandpa won.  Uncle Jimmy had to attend grandpa’s funeral barely able to stand up to visit the casket.  Few years later, Uncle Jimmy Jones passed on.

If you would like to contact me, all you have to do is fill out the form below:

All responses will be read by me!

Have been headstrong ever since I was born.  Would ague with a fence post if it actually had the ability to speak!  Used to drive the teachers in grade school nuts, because I always made sure I had proof of what I was saying on hand to back up my arguments.  Doubt they expected a small child would be that versed in the fine art of arguing!

Do you enjoy a good debate?

Prompt for the Day: “Slowly”

The editors at the Daily Post division of Word Press must be laughing at how slow movement occurs in my life these days, so they chose the word “Slowly” to have us base our art works for the day around.

Movement Using A Wheelchair

With me tends to be slow for safety reasons!  Have ran over my own toes before.  Didn’t feel to good.  Black and blue big toe for months over that stupid move.

Throw our dorky cat into the mix and his tail gets run over more often than not.  Even when I yell “move” to warn him I am coming through, he leaves his tail exposed on the floor!  How stupid is the animal if he can’t figure out he needs to get out of the way?

Any suggestions on how to manoeuvre safely using a manual wheelchair, would be greatly appreciated!  Contact me by completing the form below:

Thanks in advance for all your helpful suggestions!

Have tried training the cat using a squirt bottle filled with water, he just runs away and sulks after getting a little wet!  No idea how to teach the animal that I just have his safety in mind when asking him to move out of the way of my wheelchair wheels.  He is terrified of my electric wheelchair, so no problem with his tail getting run over with that device.  The only problem is that my electric chair doesn’t fit in our house.
