Prompt for the Day: “Open”

The people with forceful minds at the Daily Post division of Word Press want all options available for us artists to create art based on today’s prompt of “Open“.

Childhood Stories

The story “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” comes to mind from the misheard command of “Open Sesame”.

You might also want to look at the following link to the Book of a Thousand and One Nights.

Real Life

Barking out the command of “Open” gets you nowhere.  There are devices out there that will actually cause a door to open, but they tend to be ways out of the price range for normal people today.  If you continue to talk to inanimate objects, you may end up in a mental institution somewhere if your are lucky along the line!

If you would like to contact me personally, just simply fill out the following form

Doubt any magically trained creature will appear to open doors for you.  There are specially trained dogs who help the handicapped survive by opening doors, leading the visually impaired, picking up dropped items for the person if necessary.  It all depends on th animal’s actual training.

Please Help Fight Evil Disease

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.
