Prompt for the Day: “South”

The directionally impaired people at the Daily Post division of Word Press had their compasses apparently  stuck on “South

Tend to head West, Myself!

Was not raised in a Confederate state.  Would have sided with the Union if I was.  Saw no sense in dividing the country in to two separate entities.  Lost way too many lives fighting that senseless war all on American soil.  Granted the blood soaking into the ground did lead to fertile planting those proceeding years, but was not worth the cost of human lives!

At least the emancipation proclamation came around the end of the war.  Giving people of African descent the right to their own freedom and lives.  Unfortunately, they are still suffering from discrimination today decades later!  Many went on to become share croppers in a failing society.  At least the share croppers had a stake in the success and / or failure of their ground’s ability to produce crops!

Is this the reason that cities starting with the name of “South” tend to not be as successful as cities who’s names start with another compass point tend to be?  East seems to have no derogative in the name.  Neither does West or North.

Please Help Fight Terrible Disease

The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.
