The music lovers from the Daily Post division of Word Press came up with the word “Stairway” to hopefully inspire today’s great works of art.
Music First
Prompt made me think of a song by Led Zeppelin entitled “Stairway to Heaven“. Was used in the 1976 movie The Song Remains the Same.
Stairways in My Life
We had an old rickety stairway that lead down to the basement when I was little. The treads were so worn it wasn’t that safe to traverse unless you were fully awake! There was another one up to the attic of the house. We were not allowed to go up there. Since we had no air conditioning in the house, I would go down there where there was an old bed to sleep some times. It was a lot cooler down there!
There was a single step down to my bedroom from the living room. Being an uncoordinated girl in my late grade school years, I tripped down in on basically a daily basis. Leaving a box next to the stair was NOT a bright idea. Finished off the damage I had done years before to my right knee. Ended up having to have arthroscopic surgery to repair the cartilage I had torn to shreds.
Please Help Fight Terrible Disease
The medicine my neurologist prescribed for me to treat my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is basically nearly impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that then or every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign. I have tumbled down the stairs before and it was not funny.
