The sacrilegious people from the Daily Post division of Word Press came up with today’s writing prompt of “Reason to Believe“. They included a statement, followed by a rather invasive question: “In Reason to Believe, Bruce Springsteen sings, “At the end of every hard-earned day / people find some reason to believe.” What’s your reason to believe?”
My Reason To Believe
Has to be the man God created for me to fall in love with and eventually marry. My husband stands beside me each and every day helping me to survive with the evil disease I have inherited from my mother’s side of the family. He takes me to and from all my medical appointments. Even the dreaded evil MRI’s I have to receive at least once a year to see the damage both old and new that multiple sclerosis has inflicted on my body. (I am claustrophobic, so being enclosed in a tiny tube for what seems like forever forces me to have to be fully sedated!)
We have lived in many different stated of the US together. Am not planning on relocating to a different home in my lifetime. Our current neighbors here are great. Local transportation options for me exist, even though I am confined to a wheelchair now. Driving is something I quit doing years ago. Stopped long before my neurologist told me I had to. Did not want to risk another innocent creature’s life by my driving. So now my husband is in charge of the driving!
Please Help Fight this Evil Disease
The medicine my neurologist has me on for my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is impossible. I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that every 28 days! Biogen (the company that manufactures the drug) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign. All help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your generosity!
