Prompt for the Day: “Resolved”

The optimistic people at the Daily Post group of Word Press came up with today’s prompt of “Resolved” to try to inspire us.  They included a single question to further direct our writings for the day – “Have you ever made a New Year’s Resolution that you kept?”

Personally

I do not make or believe in New Year’s Resolutions.  Prefer to make the more achievable daily goals.  By limiting myself to daily goals, I set my sights on goals that are designed to be able to be completed each day.  Can’t imagine setting a goal for an entire year during its very beginning!  By making  what I refer to as “SMART” ( goals – Specific, Measurable, Action-oriented, Realistic, and Time defined), they are more likely to be successfully completed as planned!

Made smart goals long before I knew what I was doing.  Been setting goals for myself since early grade school.  Long before I moved into junior high school, was put in charge of getting the school’s computers up and working each day.  My sixth-grade year helped to reorganize the entire grade school’s library.  Think I had personally checked out and read every single book in the limited collection they had on hand.

Please Help Fight this Evil Disease

The medicine my neurologist has me on for my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri.  Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is impossible.  I remember when I first started on the drug the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500.  There was no way my husband and I could afford that every 28 days!  Biogen (the manufacturing drug company) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue helping indefinitely.  So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.  To contribute to the fund, click on the following link: https://www.gofundme.com/zfabhdes

All help will be greatly appreciated.   Thank you for your generosity!
