Got FREEDOM back
Would have to be the day that the gentlemen from the Ramps.org finished my wheelchair ramp from the back yard gate to our back door of our house! Now I could finally come and go as often as I wanted or needed to. They gave me my freedom back that day.
The guys were very polite and friendly. Let them know what day I had one of my infusions scheduled for, so that they would have a way my husband could get me over the construction site to make my appointment. Had to promise I wouldn’t use it without help until I signed the paperwork that the project was fully completed. They picked up every single scrap of wood, nails, screws, and other trash just as rain started to pour down! As much as I wanted to, did not go out and test the ramp out until the next day (not raining). Was able to successfully navigate out the back door down the wooden walk way they had built all by myself! Reached the driveway of our detached garage needing absolutely no help from anyone.
Please help fight my disease
The medicine my neurologist has me on for my multiple sclerosis is called Tysabri. Trying to find the actual cost on the internet is impossible. I remember when I first started on it , the amount the facility tried charging me was well over $2500. There was no way my husband and I could afford that every 28 days! Biogen (manufacturing drug company) has been helping us with some of the cost of the drug, but will not continue indefinitely. So I have started a Go Fund Me campaign.
